      Dear Student/Parent(s)/Guardian(s):

     Welcome to my intervention block/class! Wow…The summer has gone by so quickly, but I’m very excited to be back here at school. Even though I’ll be working with some families that are familiar to me this year, I would like to take a moment to formally introduce myself to those of you who don’t know me. I’m a graduate of Allegany-Limestone and St. Bonaventure University, and I’ve also received a Reading master’s degree from Fredonia State College. This is my thirteen year teaching at the Allegany Elementary School.  I’m very excited about having the opportunity to work with you and your child during this school year. It will be a pleasure for me to teach a new group of youngsters, and we’ll all have fun along the way. If you have any questions about what is expected of you and/or your child during this school year, please feel free to contact me at any time. A message can be left on my classroom voicemail @ 375-6600 (ext. 4102). To learn more about my classroom, check out our classroom webpage at www.alcsny.org (click “Our Teachers”…”Reading ES (K-2)”…”Mrs. Austin”).  I look forward to having another great school year! J
