I am currently in my 25th year of teaching and my 20th year at Allegany-Limestone Central School, where I conduct the Fifth, Sixth, Middle School, and High School Bands. Before this role, I served as an elementary general and choral music teacher starting in 2003. In 2022, I shifted my focus to beginning instrumentalists at Allegany-Limestone, concentrating on directing and lesson instruction for grades five and six.
Originally from Long Island, I fell in love with the countryside while attending college at Fredonia and decided to stay in this area. Although I miss the ocean, I enjoy visiting my family and spending time on their boat during the summer.
I graduated from Fredonia with a BA in Music Education in 1995 and earned my master’s degree in administration from St. Bonaventure in 2001. I began teaching at Allegany-Limestone as a part-time BOCES employee from 2000 to 2003 and was hired full-time by ALCS in 2004.
In addition to my teaching duties, I am a church musician and secretary at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Allegany. I also participate in various community music groups, including conducting the Allegany Alumni & Friends Band, playing bari sax in the OCTaves Jazz Band, and performing in pit orchestras for community theater productions.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing sports such as softball, volleyball, soccer, skiing, and hiking. Recently, I got married and have two children in college and a step-daughter who is a senior at ALCS.
