    CALCULUS AND ANALYTIC GEOMETRY I

    COURSE DESCRIPTION: 

    Students will study the fundamental concepts of calculus. Topics include an introduction to analytic geometry, functions, limits and continuity, and derivatives and integrals and their applications. An approved graphing calculator is required. A computer algebra system such as DERIVE is incorporated into the course.  4 credit hours.

     

    STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES:

    After successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

    1. Perform the operations of limits, derivatives, and integrations.
    2. Apply the above operations to applications in physics, behavioral science and business.
    3. Utilize graphing calculators and a computer algebra system to analyze and solve various calculus problems.
    4. Understand the calculus concepts numerically, algebraically, and graphically
