A little about myself...  I worked in the business sector for many years; although I enjoyed what I did and was successful, I decided to make a career change.  I had always enjoyed conversing and helping others, so I chose to go back to college and major in sociology.  My two internships were at the Cattaraugus County Mental Health Association and at the Adult Protective Service located within the Cattaraugus County building.  Both provided valuable insights to my new career choice and exceptional experiences as well.  I graduated from SBU in December of 2012 and was hired with AmeriCorps the following spring!
