• Dear Gator Students & Families :

First, let me welcome you back to school and “Bienvenidos a Español!” My name is Sheila Green-Callen and I am so excited to have the opportunity to have you in class and share my love of the Spanish language and culture!

The Spanish curriculum allows students the opportunity to learn to communicate in Spanish through topic-based lessons that introduce a wide range of functional vocabulary and grammar.  Students learn the language through engaging activities that allow them to develop proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in the Spanish language.  Students are also exposed to cultural components of Spanish, including native speakers via multi-media sources.

This year I will again be utilizing Microsoft Teams as our distance learning platform.  Students can login to their MS Teams account to access each of their classes.

Please note that attendance will be taken for all students – whether you are a virtual learner (quarantine) or in the physical setting of the classroom, so students will be expected to login during our scheduled class time.

Again, as we embark on this learning journey please remember…  we will be most successful working together and communicating often 😊. I look forward to working with you.  Please never hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.  I can be contacted via email at sgreen-callen@alcsny.org, or at (716) 375-6600, ext. 2161.

    Gracias y Hasta luego!

    ~ Sheila M. Green-Callen
